By downloading, installing, or using Admiral ("the App") or visiting admiralai.dev ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App or Website.
Admiral is a native macOS developer workspace that integrates AI-powered coding assistants, developer tools, and project management into a single application. Admiral acts as a client interface — it connects to third-party AI services on your behalf but does not provide AI services itself.
Admiral facilitates direct communication between your device and third-party AI service providers such as Anthropic (Claude) and others you may configure. Your use of these services is subject to each provider's own terms of service and privacy policy.
Admiral does not act as an intermediary, proxy, or relay for these interactions. We do not have access to, store, or process the content of your AI conversations. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms of any third-party AI service you use through Admiral.
You retain full ownership of all code, projects, conversations, and other content you create or manage using Admiral. All such data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data. Admiral is not liable for any loss of data resulting from hardware failure, software errors, or any other cause.
Admiral grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or professional development purposes. You may not:
Admiral may require you to provide API keys or credentials for third-party services. You are responsible for keeping your API keys and credentials secure. Admiral stores credentials using standard macOS security mechanisms and does not transmit them to our servers.
You are responsible for any usage and costs incurred through AI service providers as a result of your use of Admiral.
You agree not to use Admiral to:
Admiral is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. AI-generated output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unsuitable suggestions — you are responsible for reviewing and validating all output before use.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Admiral and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App or Website.
This includes, without limitation, any damages resulting from AI-generated code, suggestions, or actions taken within the App, as well as any costs incurred through third-party AI service providers.
We may release updates to Admiral from time to time. While we strive to maintain backward compatibility, updates may modify features or functionality. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of any changes.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App or Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
You may stop using Admiral at any time by uninstalling the App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App or Website at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these terms or is harmful to other users or third parties.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
